This elegantly balanced stemware was designed by Hoffmann for Lobmeyr in 1917, and is considered one of his finest designs. The material is very fine muslin glass that is mouthblown in wooden molds. Named after the finely woven french fabric, muslin glass is crystal blown to a thickness of only .7 to 1.1 mm. It appears delicate, but is remarkably resilient thanks to its inner elasticity & formal construction.
These glasses have a very dainty rim, creating an unforgettably delicate contact between mouth, glass, and refreshment.
