Expressions in Clay

Clay is a material perfectly suited for collectible editions - its results can be repeated to a degree, while maintaining the spontaneity of the maker’s hand. It acts as both substrate and consequence, able to hold a wide range of surface expressions and moods. Our unique collection of ceramic makers captures this range. Bari Ziperstein’s side tables, which propose mood and aura through their construction and use of a highly tangible color pallet. Francesco Ardini’s vessels, which demonstrate a great understanding of depth through seemingly simple colors and recognizable shapes. Jonathan Cross’ replication of natural stone, Reinaldo Sanguino’s expressive and painterly gestures in glaze and Floris Wubben’s meditative extrusions. As astute connoisseurs of ceramic objects, we are particularly proud of this special collection.
