The Future Perfect is pleased to announce it is now representing designer David Weeks exclusively in California.

Based in New York, David Weeks founded his namesake studio in Brooklyn in 1996 as an umbrella for his various interests, ranging from metal fabrication techniques to contemporary toy culture. The city’s unique blend of the industrial and the artisanal inspired Weeks’ sensibility.

His work, sculptural and artistic in its approach, helped define the independent design movement that took root there: one that captures a modern feel with a hand-crafted touch. Over the past two decades, his product line has evolved from a core grouping of elemental lighting fixtures to a broader collection of upholstered seating, side tables, and sculptural objects.

His modern light fixtures, which are a play of levity, balance, and reduction, will be on display and available for sale exclusively at both Casa Perfect, the LA-based residential gallery of The Future Perfect, and at The Future Perfect San Francisco. This will be the very first time Week’s work will be shown in Los Angeles.

The 2013 opening of the Tribeca storefront—one part gallery, one part creative lab—provided the opportunity to showcase the full breadth of the studio’s collaborations and capabilities—from high-concept light installations and angular, asymmetrical sofas to more experimental offerings.
