Blue Green Works New York May 6 - May 27, 2021
The Future Perfect is proud to present the inaugural exhibition of Manhattan-based design studio Blue Green Works. Founded in 2020 by Creative Director Peter B Staples, together with partners James McAvey and Dan Persechini, Blue Green is invested in a vision of producing design objects that possess a universal literacy. The studio's first collection comprises two lighting series, titled ‘Palm’ and ‘Fiber’. Inspired by the beach modernism of The Fire Island Pines, this first body of work was conceptualized around the ideas of retreat and sanctuary, using textures and materials that evoke places of escape. 'Palm' and 'Fiber' are both currently on view at Casa Perfect New York and at our Great Jones Street Gallery.

Drawing inspiration from the beach modernism of the Fire Island Pines, the Palm series combines hand rolled, kiln slumped glass and precision machined steel or brass elements. The subtle texture and soft edge of the glass provides a warm counterpoint to the metal’s strict lines. Slumped Glass in 6 standard colors - Bronze, Plum, Lily Pad Green, Steel Blue, Pigeon Gray, Light Amber.
