2019 Salon Art + Design Fair

Reinaldo Sanguino November 14 - November 18, 2019

The Future Perfect is pleased to present an exhibition of by Reinaldo Sanguino at Salon Art + Design in New York November 14th- 19th.

Brooklyn based Reinaldo Sanguino’s ceramic works are hybrids of wild expression and technical control. The artist continues to build upon his most recognizable work – his iconic paint ceramic stools – which are recognized as bona fide contemporary classics, appearing in private and museum collections. With each new collection, Sanguino continues to advance his singular process, crafting handmade collections that include chairs, benches and outdoor objects.

For this exhibition, The Future Perfect will present large round tables, experimental glazed wall blocks and a series of chairs. Building upon past references, many of the featured pieces feature cut-out sections and an extravagant color palette that includes a profusion of imperial gold. Due to the nature of their production, each Sanguino piece is a one-of-a-kind. Here, the clay – Sanguino’s material of choice – is employed as both structure and canvas, with each piece bearing the artist’s signature graffiti style graphics and vivid color palette.

Sanguino always pushing forward, in terms of both process and finish and this latest collection solidifies his reputation as one of American design’s most brilliant voices.
