Taking its name from the eye-shaped amulet said to protect against the evil eye, the Nazar rug exemplifies Atelier Février seductive blend of cultures and traditions. Designer Florian Pretet’s design repeats this ancient motif, creating an eye-poppingly lavish maze-like formation.
Made from 60% Tibetan wool and 40% fine Chinese silk, the Nazar rug was made by Tibetan artisans, who’ve perfected a meticulous hand-knotted production process. Through this combination of bold, graphic-inspired artwork rendered with beautifully handcrafted methodology, the atelier achieves the perfect synthesis of organic modernism and humanistic craftsmanship.
