The Lescaze Chair is so named for the architect who introduced glass brick to the US in 1934 with his seminal townhouse renovation on East 48th Street. Much as William Lescaze valued glass brick for its light transmission and structural integrity, Trueing has deployed the material (in a solid, cast version) as support for the chair, a base that will filter and play with the light as it bounces off an clear anodized aluminum seat and chair back.
