The first of its kind within the Marta Sala éditions collection, the Penelope table pairs round curves with elegant materials. The impressive piece is made up of a floor-standing base in Rosso Francia marble, a new material within the collection, along with bronze hardware that supports a red polyester lacquer top.
Believing that architecture is the foundation of all design and furniture is much like a dialogue, Marta Sala Éditions is a collaboration between the namesake founder and the architects Claudio Lazzarini and Carl Pickering. In the spirit of iconic Italian design, the range marries modernist lines with sumptuous details, strong color and unexpected materials. Through this exploration aims to imbue soul into the everyday, a concept Sala calls: “The secret soul of useful things.”
