The original velvet structure of the textile is subjected to six days where the hair is repeatedly unraveled and beaten to make it swell and resume its shape. The whole procedure can also leads to variations in pile height. Finally it has a steam treatment which makes the surface extremely soft and voluminous as well to the richness and depth of colour.
