2-4 Weeks Lead-Time
Danish artist Cathrine Raben Davidsen brings together a collection of sculptural pieces that explore an intriguing dialogue between art and design. The handmade lamps, vessels and jars are beautiful utility objects and works of art. Cathrine Raben Davidsen draws inspiration from Pre-Columbian terracotta works, ancient Japanese craft traditions, including special glazing techniques and raku firing and from the late Bronze Age in Scandinavia, where vessels with facial features were commonly used for funeral rites. Full of life, these sensuous surfaces of the face-vessels accentuate the impression that they are inhabited by creatures, who try to break through the shell of their containers.
