The Origin collection is based on a dream the artist had in which she was kneeling in an immense open meadow, just after the formation of the earth. The sun was soft, warm, and high in the sky, and hundreds of animals and birds were quietly grazing; as she watched them, she felt complete, quiet euphoria. The animals had some similarities to contemporary creatures but were unidentifiable. All were content, all were free, and she had the sense that she had been in this place for a very long time and that it had never been inhabited by other humans.
