Rafi Ajl’s Erratic series is inspired by the sublimity of the natural world and named for chunks of rock that have been moved, trapped, redistributed, and recontextualized through glacial movements. Similarly, Ajl seeks to offer a new context for his materials, presenting quick, gestural movements that result in seemingly inexplicable dialogue between the distinct pieces of an object.
