Stampvase is made from sheet metal, manipulated into shapes in a way similar to a napkin being pushed through a napkin ring. By pushing metal into a constricted space, the sheet is forced to fold, creating the walls of the vase, each one ending up slightly different from the next, which was the designer's intention. Deliberately low-tech and cost-effective mould set up, Piet Hein Eek managed to achieve a variety of shapes and textures.
Please note: Each one is unique and one-of-a-kind, although very similar to the picture.
