Miami

Set within the storied walls of Villa Paula—a location filled with so much history it has its own Wikipedia page—The Future Perfect’s Miami gallery inhabits a space steeped in layered history. A locale that has acted as the Cuban Consulate, a private residence, and even a haunted manse, the gallery is located just outside the Design District, and continues the interest of juxtaposed inhabitants.
Villa Paula is an icon of Neo-Classical architecture in Miami, and over the decades, the house has served as a diplomatic post, an artists’ salon, and a private residence. It is perhaps best known in local lore as one of Miami’s most haunted homes—a place where history and myth are inseparably entwined. The Future Perfect embraces this narrative as a perfect counterpoint to its contemporary design roster—where the past and present coexist in thoughtful tension.
In honoring the building’s cultural and architectural legacy, The Future Perfect becomes part of a continuum—a new chapter in a place that has long served as a nexus for artists, musicians, thinkers, and even the spiritual realm.

San Francisco

The Future Perfect’s San Francisco gallery opened in 2013, in the storied Pacific Heights district. The original gallery was expanded in 2018 with the vision of offering guests a sense of discovery through interconnected rooms and a residential, yet innovative tone. Like New York and Los Angeles, the San Francisco location forgoes the traditional gallery format with the addition of an apartment-like space, which changes frequently. With minimal architectural intervention, the apartment balances a sense of immersion with typical NoCal approachability.
