For Design Miami/ 2023, The Future Perfect will unveil a selection of new collectible design pieces from its roster of artisans working at the intersection of art, design and craft, with more than 110 pieces making their debut at the fair. Coinciding with The Future Perfect’s 20th anniversary, this will be the gallery’s eighth presentation at the Miami Beach edition of Design Miami/, and its tenth time exhibiting with the international forum for design.
Featuring over 130 works, this presentation is conceptualized as a meditation on anticipation and expectation—the invisible part of a work, commonly imperceptible to the viewer. Created in partnership with USM Modular Furniture, a 9-foot-tall display case, composed of 124 20” glass cubes with darkened posterior walls creates an immersive enclosure, concealing an internal exhibition space. Housed in the cubes will be compactly-scaled works by artists whose presence on the gallery’s roster is long-standing, as well as newcomers, including Dan John Anderson, Ben & Aja Blanc, Autumn Casey, Bradley Bowers, Chen Chen & Kai Williams, Mark Pavlovits, Eric Roinestad, Leena Similu, Jane Yang D’Haene, Reinaldo Sanguino, John Hogan, Ian Collings, The Perfect Nothing Catalog by Frank Traynor, and Rahee Yoon, alongside large-scale works by Chris Wolston, Floris Wubben, Cody Hoyt, and Karl Zahn.
