Our San Francisco gallery space – a departure from the traditional gallery format – opened in 2013, in the storied Pacific Heights district. In 2018, the original gallery was expanded with the vision of offering guests a sense of imminent discovery with interconnected rooms and a residential, yet innovative tone. Like its brethren in New York and Los Angeles, the San Francisco location eschews the traditional gallery format with the addition of an apartment-like space, which changes frequently. With minimal architectural intervention, the apartment balances a sense of immersion with typical NoCal approachability.
Like all of The Future Perfect galleries, it’s all in the mix – favorites such as Lindsay Adelman, Piet Hein Eek, and Cathrine Raben Davidsen accompany newer discoveries, like Chen Chen & Kai Williams and Bari Ziperstein. And this being California, many of our favorite local artists and craftspeople feature prominently, including Adam Pogue for Commune and Charles de Lisle.
