Launch of The Goldwyn House
Los Angeles September 27 - October 20, 2022
![](https://www.thefutureperfect.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/GoldwynHouse_Name_2.jpg)
Introducing our new home in Los Angeles, the Goldwyn House. As featured on the cover of Elle Decor, the Goldwyn House showcases stunning works from our favorite artists situated amid the resplendent and freshly renewed architecture of this historical LA residence.
Housed within a dazzling 20th century mansion, the Goldwyn House presents visitors with a residential concept gallery. This appointment-only space was built in 1916 by architect Arthur S. Heineman and most notably occupied by the famed movie producer, Samuel Goldwyn. The experiential and exclusive environment of old Hollywood residence and gallery in one creates a unique space to view culturally important works in a new way.
When one enters the Goldwyn House, the melding of past and present can be distinctly felt through the newly plastered walls accentuated by detailed moldings, multiple main gallery spaces. On view at its debut are exhibitions by Casey McCafferty, John Hogan, and Seungjin Yang. Custom works by Ben Barber, Dee Clements, Ian Collings, Cody Hoyt, Eric Roinestad, Reinald Sanguino, Chris Wolston, Bari Ziperstein, Karl Zahn, Dan John Anderson, Bradley Bowers, Ben & Aja Blanc, Linsdey Adelman, Chen Chen & Kai Williams, and more can be found throughout the multiple indoor and outdoor rooms and exhibition spaces.
Schedule a self-guided visit or book a one-on-one appointment now for an in-person look at our dynamic new home.

Rosae Pedestal – Tall, Brushed Oak
Goula/Figuera
The two Rosae Pedestals demonstrate the designers Goula & Figuera's ability to tame and constrain a material while creating a unique duality. These solid Walnut or Brushed Oak side tables have a textured base and legs that have been gouged and scooped out that starkly oppose the smooth and silky tabletop.

Square Chair
Cody Hoyt
Cody Hoyt’s unique project as a visual artist stretches pattern and print-like image planes into the third dimension, exploring the object as image and vice-versa. The Square chair, from his exhibition Tesserae in Bloom, is an engaging example of this, using the instantly recognizable geometry of a chair to build a mosaic from his hand-made ceramic tiles.

4 Stick Floor Lamp – Brushed Brass
Cameron Crockford
Ostensibly incidental, the Pick Up collection is anything but. Each intersection is carefully considered to produce a studied haphazardness of point and line oriented within space. Available in completely custom as well as standard configurations, each fixture is fabricated entirely by hand. The rods are bonded by precise welds, sanded and brushed to create a smooth transition that is nearly inapparent. Intended as light sculpture rather than primary lighting, the effect of the pick up fixtures is ambient. Each fixture results in a constellation that adds interest to any space.

36” Geo Transition Mirror – No. 1, 2022
Chen Chen & Kai Williams
Assembling contrasting impulses and materials into a stunning and fluid sort of cohesion, Chen Chen and Kai Williams have produced an immediately iconic line of mirrors. Named as a reference to silver’s classification as a “transition metal”, the Transition Mirrors are made by a process wherein a silver nitrate solution is poured onto clear glass, chemically bonding to the surface. The moment of transition, which occurs at the contoured edge of the silver, is an intentional point of fragility in the construction of the surface, resulting in an extraordinary moment of delicate beauty. When treated with care, these mirrors are sure to age into quintessential pieces in the oeuvre of these prolific collaborators.

John Hogan
The Future Perfect is proud to announce Ultraviolet, an exhibition of work from artist John Hogan. With his stunning new glass work, which has been thoughtfully installed alongside various iterations of the titular light form, Hogan has further delved into his examination of light as a sculptural form. This new work explores how light can be complicated, interrogated and contextualized as a medium. “My hope” says Hogan “is to show that there is no neutral context for this work and that it is always acutely activated, even when not readily visible.”

Lek Armchair
Christophe Delcourt
Designed to pair with the HUB table, the LEK banquette embodied the idea of ‘low-living’ when it came out in 2018, alongside the low dining table around which people could live, snack, dine, or work informally. Behind this was the idea of playing with convention and the boundaries between different functions. But LEK’s curves and natural elegance had a vision of its own: our banquette very quickly made an independent life for itself, establishing a way of living in its own right. The chair is available as a standard armchair, or with a 360 swivel base.

Akiko Hirai
Akiko Hirai, a Japanese-born artist trained in London, creates decorative artworks and tableware that embody the paradoxes of the claymaking process. Drawing on traditional Japanese pottery techniques, her pieces strike a balance between simplicity and sophistication, utilizing a cool and humanistic palette. A graduate of The University of Westminster and Central St Martins, Hirai's work reveals the interplay between the clay's coarseness and crystalline glaze. Making the process visible is integral to her art, expressing the ambiguous, unsettled, and imaginative journey from raw clay to firing. As Head of Ceramics at Kensington and Chelsea College, Hirai produces modern, highly collectible ceramics that celebrate imperfections and the element of chance.
