Thierry Lemaire

Thierry Lemaire Los Angeles September 30 - November 2, 2025

Experience French architect and designer Thierry Lemaire at The Goldwyn House in Los Angeles, a collection of works that highlights French elegance and Californian experimentation in a striking curatorial dialogue.

Known for his bold yet refined aesthetic, Lemaire operates at the intersection of architecture, collectible design, and the Decorative Arts. For this presentation, Lemaire unveils a series of works conceived specifically for The Future Perfect and realized in close collaboration with master artisans. Brutalist in spirit yet organic in form, the pieces showcase noble materials such as marble, patinated bronze, and lacquer. Inspired by a recent journey to Mexico, Lemaire introduces sculptural onyx works that recall the modernist rigor of Luis Barragán, the geometry of the Church of the Resurrection in Cuajimalpa, the country’s lush natural landscapes, and its rich mineral heritage.

Balancing this depth of stone, the OMNIA sofa and lounge chair embrace soft, fluid contours that echo the essence of onyx in upholstered form. Meanwhile, the KAALA and TWIST works—crafted in burnt steel—embody fire and material transformation, each a fusion of spontaneity and precision, accident and control.

Together, these three ensembles form a perceptive and evolving landscape. At once architectural and sculptural, Thierry Lemaire’s work invites viewers into a vision of design that is continually shifting—rooted in history, yet alive with experimentation.
