Dan John Anderson was born and raised in rural Eastern Washington before moving to Portland, Oregon to pursue studies at the Oregon College of Art & Craft. Growing up surrounded by the lush forests of the Pacific Northwest, he developed a deep fascination with wood as a material. This interest in wood continues to be a prominent aspect of his work.

Throughout his career, his work has been showcased in numerous notable venues, including the Palm Springs Art Museum, A-Z West, NYC Design Week, MATTER NYC, and Curator's Cube in Japan. With each exhibition, Dan brings forth his unique artistic vision, blending traditional craft techniques with contemporary sensibilities.
