Jason Koharik is a self-taught artist and craftsman whose methods and works are always evolving. He was born and raised in Bedford, Ohio. Moving to Los Angeles, California at age 19. He quickly became involved in commercial production where he began to implement his skills as an artist and designer working on film sets and wardrobe design, ultimately transitioning to home and decor for the interior design industry. He now works from his 7000 square foot studio and showroom in Glassell Park, relying on timeless methods to design and handcraft sophisticated lines of lighting, furniture, art, and sculpture.

His work is evoked by the spirit of the moment. Driven by conception, a love story, a poem, or a memory, a muse. He works from an “Art First” approach— “Even if what I am creating is intended to be a product of sort, furniture or lighting, Everything is Art First...and then the rest. Make it useful? Comfortable? Shippable?"
His effort is to create a unique silhouette that occupies space as an anomaly within its interior. To make “All Space Sacred”, each piece takes on a one-of-a-kind quality. Set with its own unique intention. Establishing an importance on the position it is ultimately placed. A sense of timelessness. An ancient history. Working with natural materials such as wood, steel, brass, leather, and glass, he seeks a balance between furniture and sculpture, and feels successful when you cannot tell the difference.
