Ranieri
Ranieri is an Italian company operating within the cultural realm of design, working at the intersection of material research and interpretation. Founded at the foot of Mount Vesuvius, where nature asserts a powerful and constant presence, the company regards lava stone not merely as a material, but as an expressive language: a living substance shaped by memory, tension, and transformation.

Download Tearsheet Established by Giovanni Ranieri in Terzigno, near Naples, the company has cultivated a profound relationship with lava, recognizing its primordial energy and its capacity to generate forms that do not strive for industrial perfection but for the authenticity of process. Each project begins with attentive engagement with the material and with a commitment to translating its inherent complexity into contemporary expressions without reducing or simplifying it.
In 2023, Ranieri appointed Francesco Meda and David Lopez Quincoces as Creative Directors. Both architects and designers are widely recognized for reinterpreting historic Made in Italy brands through a contemporary lens. Their vision marked the beginning of a new chapter, introducing a future oriented perspective that expanded both the application and the conceptual horizons of Ranieri’s expertise. Through collaborations with international designers and creatives and through deeply bespoke projects, the new creative direction has strengthened Ranieri’s role as a cultural platform capable of exploring material experimentally and placing it in dialogue with design, architecture, and contemporary art.
