Inspired by the bioluminescent moss of the same name, Goblin’s Gold appears to grow directly around a wall wart, as though feeding from the electrical current itself. Green micro LEDs embedded beneath the surface pulse in a slow, breathing rhythm, controlled by a concealed microcontroller hidden within the sculpture. Part organism, part electronic parasite, the piece imagines domestic electricity as a source of artificial life.
