Silver leaf is applied by hand along the profile, introducing a luminous threshold that interrupts the density of the painted surface. This subtle metallic presence captures and diffuses light, tracing a quiet boundary between shadow and reflection. Named after Nephe, the ancient Greek word for “cloud,” the piece evokes a suspended atmospheric dimension where color, light and surface dissolve into a continuous shifting presence.
