Piet Hein Eek launched the army bean bag chair during Dutch Design Week in 2015. He purchases the army tent fabric at auctions, where the American army retreating from Europe offered its material. The beanbags made from very solid American army fabric have now been sent all over the world. Following the success of the army bag chair, Piet Hein Eek introduced a leather version of the bean bag.
