Named after the dolphin, certainly one of the most graceful sea animals, Erberto Carboni’s master 1954 creation is a seminal example of the so-called “organic movement,” which sought inspiration from nature as opposed to the man-made. Giving the appearance of movement, the Delfino Chair features arm-like fins connected by brass rivets and a harmonious, supple body like that of a dolphin. The design of Carboni's Delfino chair, and its accompanying pouf or footstool, was inspired by the Italian dictum ''new ways of living require new design solutions,' and given the chair’s perpetual popularity, it’s clear those principles still resonate today. This armchair is available in a wide range of graded fabrics of your choosing, or you may provide your own material - please inquire directly for more information.
