The basic form of this cabinet began as a one-door curio case (glass cabinet). The glass used for each of the five sides allows natural light to enter from all directions and illuminate the stored items. The frame of the cabinet is joined by three-way miter joint method. This cabinet is created by curving the frame timbers to create a soft, rounded effect, requiring the utmost precision and skill as well as a great deal of accuracy. The roundness of the frame surface and the overall proportions of the cabinet convey an impression of neatness and sharpness.
