Originally conceived for the Council cigar lounge at Hotel Les Trois Rois in Basel, the Velazquez Table is a sculptural exploration of wood’s transformative potential. Its dual-height design is achieved through a clever interlocking base, cut in a jagged zigzag that allows the table to shift elevations without visible mechanisms. Precision-milled and hand-finished over 40 hours, the table is both puzzle and object—a tactile expression of quiet ingenuity. Now part of MARTASALA ÉDITIONS’ La Magie du Bois collection, Velazquez embodies the elegance of function turned form.
