Geology Dining Table

By Chen Chen & Kai Williams

Sold

The stone for the dining table was sliced from a 1-ton boulder from Massachusetts. The surface was hand polished so there is some irregularity, commercially available slabs are polished by machine. As with all Geology pieces, the table is built upside down. The stone composition is laid down and then the steel structure is built to accommodate the stone. Each piece is unique due to the material available. The table weights approximately 1200lbs (equivalent of a 300lbs man standing on each of the four leg points). There are three remaining slices from this boulder and should a client wish, a complimentary piece can be made from these slices. Unlike other Geology pieces, this is a stone Chen Chen & Kai Williams can source.
