“Neoprimitive Too” is a continuing exploration of the neoprimitive philosophy, a fusing of traditional folk aesthetics with contemporary methodology. In this chair, contemporary dimensional building materials are juxtaposed against raw, unprocessed wood as it exists in nature. The textiles, conceptualized by Alex Segreti, further plays off the same neoprimitive themes. Utilizing a geometric checkerboard pattern, normally a design made with precision, yet created here in a process to show the beauty of imperfection through the human hand.
