Made by the Senufo tribe, who live across countries in West Africa (primarily Cote De'Ivoire, Burkina Fasso, and Mali), each of these stools is carved from a single piece of wawa wood, a timber common in West and Central Africa. Due to the process of their making they are without seams or any other sign of joinery.
