Form 4 by Seattle-based glass artist John Hogan reflects his celebrated mastery of material and optics. The Form series is a collection of limited edition works by Volker Haug Studio and Hogan. Metal is the studio’s material of choice, and its treatment is the cornerstone of their fabrication process. This approach to utilizing the inherent qualities of the material interlocks with Hogan’s exploratory works with glass and forges this collaboration of sculptural light fittings. Form 4 is a large pendant, made of semi-polished cast aluminum and small dichroic glass windows which spill color on itself and its surrounds. Hand-shaped with precision, this collectible glass artwork refracts and transforms light, creating an evolving visual presence that enhances any interior or design collection.
