Olivia Cognet’s Vallauris Floor Lamps are indicative of the artist’s larger project, which understands the physicality of images as something granted, and thus easily finds the visual architecture within sculptural objects. Presented as an almost Platonic lightsource, these lamps use the timelessness of their functionality as a medium.
