John Hogan’s latest glass collection showcases the artist’s ability to transform a prosaic material into something far more provocative, innovative and dynamic. Finding color through both his material and the light it produces, Hogan establishes a foundation for perception that allows the viewer to move along unseen contours in the space around these objects, landing in the rich and superbly crafted objects themselves. Consisting of a range of objects, vessels, and sculptures, the collection employs a number of expert glassmaking techniques, including traditional blowing, hot sculpting and a combination of the two.
