Deniz Yenidogan’s Ball and Chain transforms a familiar symbol of punishment and restraint into an object of celebration. Inspired by Adolf Loos’s Ornament and Crime, the series turns “crime” itself into ornament, with seven pieces corresponding to the Seven Deadly Sins. Playful and provocative, the work brings moral and aesthetic judgment into tension, allowing beauty, desire, excess, and transgression to coexist.
