Rich Aybar’s Gleba Urn takes its name from the spore-bearing interior of a puffball fungus, drawing on processes of growth, transformation, and material emergence. While the Gleba Constellation series is united by a shared form, each vessel possesses a distinct identity. Its luminous amber color is not a fixed finish but the result of a specific convergence of material conditions, oxidation, and environmental factors present at the moment of casting. As such, the color exists as a singular material event that cannot be exactly reproduced.
