American artist Cody Hoyt combines graphic compositions with three-dimensional forms in his unconventional ceramic-fired vessels. With a background in painting and printmaking, Hoyt's two-dimensional artistry informs his sculptural creations. Hoyt's technique involves layering and manipulating colored clay into striking, hand-layered striping that enhances his bold angular shapes.
