Inspired by childhood night lights shaped like tiny houses, The House is on Fire transforms a familiar symbol of safety into something more uneasy. Fabric scraps gathered from the studio resemble small flames, wrapping the house in a fire that feels strangely detached from the danger itself. Balancing comfort with quiet dread, the piece reflects the surreal normalization of crisis, continuing with daily life while everything around us burns.
