Handbuilt with terracotta clay and hand painted with terra sigillata, a technique most notably found in pre-Colombian ceramic art, this vessel depicts a primitive botanical landscape inspired by the plants in MyunJin Kim's own gardens. This almost three-foot tall botanical low-relief vessel continues the artist's fascination with the natural world. Featured in MyungJin Kim's exhibition Hoot & Bloom at The Future Perfect's San Francisco location, on view January 16-February 27, 2024.
