Measuring almost three feet, this botanical low-relief vessel continues MyunJin Kim's fascination with the natural world. Handbuilt with terracotta clay and hand painted with terra sigillata, a technique most notably found in pre-Colombian ceramic art, this vessel depicts a primitive botanical landscape inspired by the plants in the artist's own gardens. Featured in MyungJin Kim's exhibition Hoot & Bloom at The Future Perfect's San Francisco location, on view January 16-February 27, 2024.
