Gaetano Pesce’s historical relationship with radical design and social critique is subtly but poignantly visible in the artist’s ongoing series of pliable, gelatinous resin vases. Appearing at times viscous, as if slowly moving across the room like molten lava, while others are anthropomorphic, with tentacle-like appendages and bases reminiscent of human legs, these vessels question convention and embrace imagination.
