Roger Coll

Roger Coll is a ceramic artist whose practice brings together sculpture, architecture, and the material language of clay. Born in Badalona, Barcelona in 1979, Coll trained in architecture and sculpture at ETSA University La Salle Barcelona and EASD Llotja Barcelona, before studying ceramics at Forma Barcelona School, EASD Pau Gargallo, and EASD. His architectural background continues to inform his ceramic work, which often explores topology, balance, spatial rhythm, and the relationship between volume and void.

After several years working in an architecture studio in Barcelona, Coll established his first ceramic studio and workshop in 2009. Now based in Vic, he creates stoneware sculptures defined by looping forms, tactile surfaces, and a fluid sense of movement. His work speaks across multiple art-historical languages, drawing from the traditions of ceramic sculpture while engaging contemporary concerns around form, space, and material presence.

Coll has exhibited internationally in solo and group exhibitions since 2010, including presentations in New York, Berlin, Milan, Stockholm, and London. His work has also been featured in New Wave Clay: Ceramic Design, Art and Architecture, situating his practice within a broader conversation around contemporary ceramics, design, and sculptural object-making.
