Chris Wolston’s Candlestick demonstrates his ability to push material and form toward fantasy and abundance without sacrificing intimacy. Cast in bronze and finished with a rainbow patina achieved through the application of torch flame, allowing the surface to shift between tones of pink, green, gold, and blue like a painter’s brushstroke captured in metal. Clusters of blooming floral forms climb upward along the stem, as though growing from a winding vine.
