Taking inspiration from the lush tropical flora of Medellin, Colombia, Chris Wolston's latest exhibition, Flower Power, explores material and tactile communication. By fusing traditional craftsmanship with his dynamic designs, Wolston returns to working hands-on with clay, particularly terracotta—a medium he engaged with during his Fulbright study of pre-Columbian ceramics. Sourced from a local mine, this material adds a visceral dimension to his artwork, showcasing the vibrant essence of life in the region.
