Anina Major’s Wishing Well II is a woven sculpture whose strands of wood-fired stoneware overlap in an irregular, tactile weave, preserving the gestures and labor of Major’s plaiting process. Melted blue glass pools at its center like water glimpsed at the bottom of a well.
