Lindsey Adelman’s Illuminated Mobile II.03.01 is part of the artist’s Hieros Gamos series, drawing from the concept of sacred union: the joining of divine masculine and feminine energies, inner and outer worlds, and ancient and contemporary sensibilities. Suspended from a ceramic canopy, a delicate armature of dark oil rubbed bronze tubing supports three cone-shaped glass lights. Designed to move gently with the surrounding air, the composition continuously shifts in form, subtly transforming the atmosphere of a room.
