Lindsey Adelman’s Illuminated Mobile Sconce II.02.01 is part of the artist’s Hieros Gamos series, drawing from the concept of sacred union: the joining of divine masculine and feminine energies, inner and outer worlds, and ancient and contemporary sensibilities. A single illuminated glass form hangs from a glass canopy, perched atop the canopy, a butterfly-shaped mineral appears to have landed in mid-flight.
