Lindsey Adelman’s Illuminated Mobile II.06.01 is part of the artist’s Hieros Gamos series, drawing from the concept of sacred union: the joining of divine masculine and feminine energies, inner and outer worlds, and ancient and contemporary sensibilities. Suspended from a ceramic canopy, a delicate armature of dark oil rubbed bronze tubing supports six illuminated glass orbs. Designed to move gently with the surrounding air, the composition continuously shifts in form, subtly transforming the atmosphere of a room.
